Kate Wild, LM, CPM,MSM

Kate's passion for women’s health began in 2012 as a consumer of midwifery when her son was born at home in Kingston, WA. After experiencing the vast difference between the midwifery led care throughout her second pregnancy and birth compared to the birth to her daughter in a hospital in 2007, she felt called to provide community birth care to future families. In 2021, Kate gifted a family with a child through surrogacy and delivered a baby girl right here at our very own Birthing Inn.

A Pacific Northwest native, Kate graduated with a Master of Science in Midwifery from Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA. Her undergraduate studies at the University of Washington, Tacoma were primarily in political science. Midwifery is unique in that it is a brilliant example of the place where politics and women’s health care intersect. Kate’s passion is in providing the space for parents to reject the status quo and instead be able to make informed decisions regarding how they want their care to look for themselves and for their family.

Kate offers a calm and reassuring presence to those around her. She is dedicated to holding the sacred space of birth and allowing babies to transition from the womb with intention and the utmost care.

When not practicing midwifery, you can find Kate in the mountains or on the beach, sharing a meal with friends and family, or simply spending time at home with her partner, children, and pets.

Kate is licensed through the state of Washington and is also a Certified Professional Midwife through the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM).
